Currently a Hardlines Manager for Sam's Club responsible with supervising up to 37 direct reports, but also for the entire 120 associates when being duty manager. Experienced with human resource tasks like scheduling for all responsible areas such as; Electronics, Photo, Wireless, Books and Movies, Seasonal, and Hardlines. Also responsible for writing timely 90-day and yearly performance evaluations to point out opportunities of associates and reward them for good performance and attendance with annual raises. Along with the evaluation process I have experience with driving job performance through teaching, retraining, and accountability practices when necessary. Also have implemented different incentive programs to drive sales performance. As the Hardlines and Overnight Manager I have been responsible for planning out biweekly store wide transitions to keep our store compliant with company standards and to drive sales by choosing items that are seasonally correct based on time and local events. When understaffed have worked numerous extra hours to complete the tasks myself. Then have been responsible for going through the hiring process to bring in new talent into the building to get us staffed. I am the Forklift Trainer for the building responsible for training and testing all lift drivers and maintaining paper work for them.I am also an experienced stand-up lift driver myself with 3 years of experience. I'm strong at multitasking and have the ability to provide direction to multiple people or groups while still working towards completing my own tasks. Also able to work as a team for common goals as I am part of a group of 5 other assistant managers in charge of all business operations for the building. I have attended sales training courses through Sam's Club and Verizon. I've lead membership blitzes for our store to spur membership growth by driving town to town and visiting local business owners to peak interest in Sam's Club. Most importantly I have helped my current facility become 840 days accident free by enforcing safety procedures throughout the building.
