Planned, managed and executed the first successful Rear Detachment Unit Maintained Equipment program in the Army resulting in the completion of 1360 scheduled services in a 13 month period with minimal mechanics and resources.
Established repair parts requisition procedures utilizing Army excess parts allocated for free issue saving over $120,000.00 in repair parts over the last fiscal year.
Designed, fabricated and installed armor systems on non-armored vehicles in Afghanistan saving numerous lives. These systems were left in country and utilized by subsequent Units for three years until armored vehicles became available.

Senior Logistics Maintenance Officer
Managed all facets of maintenance for 4,000 person Brigade with over 1,500 vehicles, generators and trailers. Developed comprehensive maintenance standard operating procedure resulting in improved efficiency. This reduced equipment down time from over 10 percentage to under 5 percentage within six months. Streamlined equipment preventive maintenance services eliminating a two month backlog within three months and maintained on time preventive maintenance services on all equipment for previous 2 years. Submitted accurate and timely maintenance reports to higher including equipment readiness, man-hour accounting, maintenance backlogs, and total cost of ownership. Provided guidance to the Commander on all maintenance personnel assignments and moves within the organization resulting in providing the proper skill set maintainers in the proper positions to improve the overall Unit maintenance posture.

1ST Battalion 52ND Aviation Regiment Fort Wainwright, Alaska
Senior Logistics Maintenance Officer
Ground maintenance manager for the only Aviation Brigade in Alaska. Served as the maintenance subject matter expert to the Commander for over 250 vehicles and trailers and over 100 generators and aviation ground support equipment. Provided technical expertise to subordinates and superiors on maintenance of a variety of equipment including trucks from 1 1/4 ton up to 10 ton vehicles from a large spectrum of equipment and engine manufacturers including Caterpillar, Cummins, Oshkosh, and Detroit Diesel. Trained subordinates in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and repair techniques. Instituted a battery management program replacing lead acid batteries with AGM batteries in the entire fleet and installing updated battery trickle chargers. This provided a net savings of over $20,000.00 per year in battery replacement costs. Initiated stringent preventive maintenance and unscheduled maintenance quality control and quality assurance programs reducing customer complaints and returns by 90 percentage in the first six months. Maintained all equipment at over a 95 percentage operational readiness rate for the duration of assignment, exceeding the Unit's goal of 90 percentage operational readiness.

1ST Infantry Brigade, 10TH Mountain Division Fort Drum, New York
Unit Maintenance Officer
Served as the Maintenance Manager for this organization with over 200 pieces of maintenance significant equipment. Deployed and redeployed the entire organization's equipment to Kosovo in 2001 and Afghanistan in 2003. Anticipated severe logistics issues in Afghanistan due to extreme distances between Units and instituted measures to minimize effects on maintenance. Established maintenance teams for each area and purchased additional tools and test equipment to allow them to be self sufficient. Utilized unconventional resupply means with local nationals and air support to get the proper parts to the proper location. Developed a comprehensive shop stock and bench stock of high demand repair parts. All these actions minimized maintenance down time and allowed the organization to complete all missions with no missions failing due to maintenance.
