January 2001-March 2009
Partner, The Briggs Law Firm, P.A., Ocala, Florida; Invited by my former partner Randy Briggs to become a partner at his new firm after he left Ayres, Cluster, Curry, McCall & Briggs, P.A. to start his own practice. At The Briggs Law Firm I continued my practice in representing accident victims and consumers in insurance disputes.
Spring 1999-January 2001
Member of Firm at Ayres, Cluster, Curry, McCall & Briggs, P.A., Ocala, Florida; became a member of the firm after serving as an associate for less than 5 years.
August 1994-Spring 1999
Associate at Ayres, Cluster, Curry, McCall and Briggs, P.A. at Ocala, FL; After clerking there as a summer associate after my first and then second years of law school, I was then hired by Ayres, Cluster, Curry, McCall & Briggs, P.A. to continue there as an attorney following graduation. This was my first job after graduating from law school at the University of Florida and taking and passing the Florida Bar Exam after graduation. At ACCMB I first worked under the tutelage of the partners in the firm, then progressed to handling my own case load. My litigation experience included commercial cases, real property litigation, serving as personal counsel for defendants in medical malpractice cases, and employment litigation, with a high concentration of representing accident victims for their personal injuries and consumers in insurance disputes. During my tenure at ACCMB, I progressed to handling more and more personal injury cases so that by the time I became a partner in the firm in 1999, my practice was devoted almost exclusively to personal injury with some employment litigation.
