WORK EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing/Quality Intern - Engineer Altec Industries, Inc. 5/12 to present
Grocery Clerk Raley's Superstore 7/03- 5/12
PROJECTS
Electrical Pre-Hire Exam
Working closely with the Quality team at Altec Industries, I was able to use an electrical schematic to design and put together a
circuit board with components such as switches, relays and lights. I successfully wired and tested the system. This exam will be
administered to any electricians prior to getting hired.
AT&T AT200A Support
As in intern for Altec Industries I provided support for the AT&T run this year. Altec Industries Western Division was
responsible for manufacturing 300 AT&T utility trucks. My assignment was to help the AT&T production lines work as
efficiently as possible. Some of my many tasks included: ordering parts, locating parts, tracking trucks and their GPS systems as
they came out of production, looking for ways to improve production processes, stage mapping, tool set ups, etc.
2-stroke Engine Design (ongoing-senior project)
Our team is taking modern GO-Kart engine designs used in 135cc/56 HP and applying them to RCs and Go-Peds. Our goal is to
design a 30.8cc engine that will be capable of producing 10+HP. Tomar Racing Clutches will fund as long we make our engine
compatible with one of their popular adjustable clutches so that they can sell them as a package
Bo-Bot
Using MATLAB my team and I programmed a robot to follow a path designated by black electrical tape. I focused on the
positioning of the QTI line followers; needed them in front of the Bo-bot and as low to the floor as possible but also with the
ability to pivot and lift for steep uphill movement.
