Professional Experience:
June 2011-December 2012 CCC Group Inc.
Stainless Steel Welder contracted to Alcoa in Goose Creek, SC
Began working at Alcoa in charge of replacing old iron feeder modules with new stainless steel feeder modules. I developed a system to streamline the process, reducing the production time from ten hours down to only four. After the ten week contract was completed; continued on to be the Lead Pneumatic Rebuild Technician. Two times a week I would work with a small team, aluminum welding. Participated in maintenance shift work when production equipment was down; and problem solved while observing OSHA guidelines. I attended many training courses while with Alcoa, a list will be provided upon request.
May 2010- May 2011 CCC Group Inc.
Journeyman Ironworker/ Rigger Point Comfort, TX
In Point Comfort, I performed all rigging and ironwork building the conveyor system for Fomosa Plastics. I participated in daily meetings for production goals, sorted materials in the laydown yard, and operated heavy machinery. I also read and interpreted engineering drawings and specifications; performing all the required welding and high rise steel structures. At that time I received my contractors certification while on the job.
February 2010 May 2010 CCC Group Inc.
Journeyman Ironworker/ Welder Chino Valley, AZ
Job consisted of installing duct work for dust collectors. I also erected several types of silos, welded out all of the bag houses, and operated heavy machinery. I was in charge of reading the blueprints and assigning the materials to their permanent locations. If the wrong materials were shipped I was able to either fabricate the processed materials or refabricate raw materials to ensure that the result met engineering specifications.
January 2009 February 2010 Dennis Steel
Journeyman Ironworker/ Welder Leander, TX
Trained and made all of the iron structures for Lexus dealers, independent school districts, several commercial buildings, and several custom homes; all around Austin, Texas. Our crew built the iron, shipped it to the location, erected it, and executed any field modifications as needed. While doing this I often had to operate various types of heavy equipment. I was one of a few who specialized in ornamental iron; placing archways, hand railings, and gates at a condominium complex. I was the next in line to become Crew Foreman.
August 2006- January 2009 Bea-con
Journeyman Ironworker/ Welder Rockdale, TX
During this time I specialized in erecting coal silos using MIG welders, executed field modifications throughout the plant, built bag houses, and support decks for catwalks surrounding those bag houses. I worked at 288 feet bolting up steel girders for boilermakers. I also welded an abundant amount of pipe supports, bridging, Q decking, and hand rails. In three months I was able to work my way up from a Helper to a Welder due to my ability as a very quick learner.
