Accomplishments

Took two years of college (building trades) and several other courses while still in high school. Have taken many safety oriented, competent person training, foreman classes, never turned down opportunity to advance myself. Started working at McCarthy construction at only 14 years old, did just about everything at this job from operating forklifts, to loading trucks, to remodeling offices. Worked here from 14 years old in the summers, till about 20 years old full time.

Ran a roofing crew of about 4-8 people, we did everything from small one day jobs to million dollar houses. Being lead man on the crew, had to satisfy home owners, my crew, and the big bosses in the office, and excelled at each one. Had my own workers compensation and liability insurance on each person. Put to use all the leadership skills I have acquired over the years.

Was second in command on the crew, often running the jobs while the boss was selling other jobs. Always been a very hard worker, got everything done on time or sooner, and received bonuses almost every week. Also did other jobs like siding, fascia, metal work(wrapping windows), big commercial jobs, etc.

Started as a second term apprentice moving up to journeyman in less than a month because of the skills I have. Never went over budget often going under budget even when times were hard and budget was tight. Took a good majority of my safety classes and OSHA classes, along with foreman classes while working for this company. would have retired from here, but they had to shut their roofing division down.
