Accomplishments

My accomplishments start with high school. In high school I did the Air Force JROTC program. In that program I eventually became the Group Commander which is the highest position possible for the members to reach. Along with becoming the Group Commander I also won many Awards. One of the awards I am most proud of is Outstanding Cadet of the Year. I was that my Junior and Senior year. With that award I received two 200 dollar savings bonds and a ribbon to put on my uniform. I have also won several medals through out the program as well. I graduated with Honors from high school and went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a GPA of 3.2. Work Experience

May 2010 to December 2012

Peninsula Hospital Louisville, TN

Case Manager

As a Case Manager I am responsible for arranging each of my Patient's discharge plans. I work with each patient to determine what is best for them to help them succeed in getting their lives back in control. My patients vary on what is best for each one, but most of the time they need Outpatient rehab, a Psychiatrist for medications, a therapist to speak with regarding how to deal with their stressors, a group home because they can't take care of them selves on their own any more, court issues, and transportation issues. My job is to make sure each of my patients have theses in place or taken care of before they leave the hospital. I have several legal documents I fill out for each patient and I have to document on each one in a Computerized documentation program called Allscripts. I find my Job very rewarding at times and I love the feeling I get when I help someone who really needs it.

October 2008 to August 2010

Peninsula Hospital Louisville, TN

Program Counselor

As a Program Counselor i was responsible to watch the patients on the unit and to get them what ever they needed. If they needed things for a shower, to eat, or to sleep, I would get it for each patient. If they where Homicidal or Suicidal I would have to stay with that patient one-on-one to make sure they didn't try to hurt themselves or anyone else. I was also responsible for leading group discussions and activities for the patients on the unit. I learned to listen to people's problems and how to assess potential escalating situations.

August 2009 to May 2010

Peninsula Hospital Louisville, TN

Health Unit Coordinator

As a Health Unit Coordinators I worked with the nurses and helped them with the doctor's orders and putting together the patients charts. This required the ability to multi-task and to be really organized. I had to enter all the orders each doctor had written for each patient in to the computer and their Kardex's. This freed up the nurse from taking the time to do it so they would have more time to do other things. As a Health unit Coordinator I also was responsible for filling all the paperwork from the doctor's, nurses, therapists, case manager's, Program counselor's, dietician's, and the legal department. I also had to go through each patient's chart, every day, and make sure the correct patient's paperwork was in the correct patient's chart. Doing this Job I learned how to be efficient and work quickly.

February 2008 to May 2010

Ofter school program assistant

I was one of three assistant's for Tate's after school program that assisted the teach with either an art project, a game out side, or planned what the kids would do until their parents arrived to pick them up. These children ranged from Kindergarten to 5th grade age and I had to learn to plan activities that would accommodate each developmental level.

May 2007 to August 2007

Tate's Day Camp Knoxville, TN

Camp Counselor

I was a camp counselor of one of the four year old groups that came to the camp over the summer. I was responsible for watching each kid, taking them to swim lessons, leading and planing activities through out the day. This was a fun job and it was most rewarding seeing the kids get excited when they learned how to swim or even get dressed by them selves.
