computer hardware/software developer. From 1993 to 1995 also performed

duties assisting the Director of Operations. The company was a startup

for a Massively Parallel Processing computer capable of handling

Terabyte+ sized databases.

period.

manufacturer of electronics for GM's automotive division. In 1990,

promoted to ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER with responsibility for

introducing TQM and SPC concepts into the production/testing process.

This operation was a joint venture with Arizona's Navajo Tribe to

produce automotive electronics. It eventually expanded to manufacture

microcomputer control systems for GM's diesel locomotives.

--Established and supervised repair facility that was consistently

profitable and produced components of the quality required by GM.

--Built engineering/quality team from pool of unskilled laborers that

was conscientious, efficient, productive and highly motivated to

enhance performance; all to the substantial benefit of Packard

Electric. Trained team members in the use of SPC.

--Developed a microcomputer control system repair facility resulting

in

the elimination of parts shortages.

--Slashed costs by developing preventative maintenance program for the

Automated Test Equipment that enabled avoidance of late shipments,

unscheduled downtime, and unscheduled overtime to ship product.

--Eliminated costly re-work by organizing an inspection department for

all incoming components.

--Helped lead facility to JIT certification and a number of "Zero

Defect" certifications.
