Create litigation strategies to optimize client positions and mitigate potential risk. Submitted
request for rehearing on behalf of Natural Resources Defense Council and 16 other
environmental groups concerning rulemaking on integration of variable energy resources such as
wind. Filed request for investigation by FERC Enforcement Staff of electric utility cooperative,
including possible violation of anti-market manipulation regulations. Obtained settlement
providing for significant payment to client ExxonMobil Corporation, a large cogenerator, and
resolution of two appellate proceedings, achieved after preparation of expert witness testimony
and pre-trial motions practice, thereby resolving electric interconnection dispute. Overcame
significant challenges to obtain certificate from FERC for construction and operation of new
interstate gas pipeline. Advocacy to limit or shape rate and tariff changes for shippers on gas
