PROFILE

I am qualified to be an analytical chemist, a writer of technical documents and a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

I have spent years working as a writer of technical documents for the pharmaceutical industry such as standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and analytical report forms. I wrote summaries of change and proposed changes to official specifications and analytical procedures for raw materials and pharmaceuticals. I performed the annual product review.

Before I was involved with technical documentation, I was an analytical chemist in the pharmaceutical industry for a number of years. I analyzed laboratory and production water, raw materials, packaging components, tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, and lotions using wet chemistry and instruments such as HPLC, GC, Karl Fischer apparatuses, dissolution apparatuses, IR and UV-visible spectrometers, laser particle size analyzers, sieves, and refractometers.

I have a PhD in organic chemistry and 24 graduate credits in polymer chemistry. I passed a course which trained me to be a pharmacy technician and I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

I have two patents and three publications.
