My Background

I am a healthy vibrant 23 year old who relocated from San Diego to Santa Barbara, 3 years ago. I enjoy working with other people and helping others. I especially enjoy being assigned important and significant tasks which matter to the organization. If I were to be hired to work for you or your company, I would apply myself continuously to get things done correctly and as efficiently as possible.

I am completely computer literate and very familiar with many computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other application specific software programs.

I have played soccer my whole life and I remain very active today. Team sports are very important to me as I enjoy teamwork and always want to be part of a strong winning team. My high school and club teams continuously rewarded the team captains position to me based on my skills as a player and leader. I also enjoy the individual challenge and rewards of snowboarding and surfing.

Lift Operator, Mammoth Mountain Ski Resorts, Mammoth Lakes, CA January 2008- April 2008,

As a lift operator at the largest ski area in California, my duties included assisting guests onto the lifts, scanning guest tickets, maintaining loading and unloading ramps and breaking down the line mazes at the end of the day. I worked long hours and was available for work 7 days a week. Prior to the following season start, I was offered the position of Lead Operator should I choose to return to the mountain for another year.

I worked for a neighbor of mine who is a retired lawyer. I had responsibilities for basic landscaping/orchard duties, maintaing and repairing home items, working at the residence an average of three times per week. I also took care of her home and animals when she traveled.

I worked at Ingold Sports Park as and Indoor Soccer Referee. I generally would work about 8 games a week. My job in addition to providing the match referee service, was to keep the games under control and report any infractions and end score to my manager. The park was taken over by new management who did not continue indoor soccer for several seasons ending my employment there.

Loose Pooch Dog Club, Santa Barbara, CA June 2010- Present

I received this job a few months after moving to Santa Barbara. It is mainly a dog day care center where my co-workers and I are responsible for the care, feeding and bathing of an average of 40 dogs a day. We must be very diligent and make sure dogs are under control and cannot exhibit aggressive behavior as well as serving clients and guests as they come in and out of the retail area. The daycare center had a well developed retail area in which sales of pet accessories occured. This experience has given me skills using a cash register and executing retail transactions as well as improving my customer service skills. I fully enjoy dealing with owners/customers on a daily basis as well as caring for the dogs which is the primary role of my employment.
