1. Effects of Exercise on Blood Pressure
Abstract:
Results of this longtitudinal study of 400 participants reflect that moderate exercise of 30
minutes or more, decreases systolic blood pressure 10mmHg the following day which was
sustained for several days.
Challenge/Problem:
High blood pressures 140/90 and above. of many over aged 40, poor dietary choices,
resulting in increase in risk of heart attack and stroke.
Solution:
monitor BP's, provide lifestyle choice information, provide ongoing emotional support,
dietary and exercise coaching and support. referral to physician if above strategies not
successful after 3 months of sustained elevated BP's.
Conclusion:
Exercise, even mild, of 30 minutes or more daily, can provide protective heart health and
other beneifts by way of reducing blood pressure, thus reducing risk of stroke
2. Effects of Exercise on Blood Cholesterol
Abstract:
400 participants in one year study demonstrated that 30 minutes to 45 minutes of moderate
exercise, 3 times weekly, provides protective heart benefits by reducing cholesterol, LDL and
triglycerides and increasing HDL's.
Challenge/Problem:
workers at high risk of heart attacks due to high cholesterol levels
Solution:
Blood analysis of 400 workers at Point Zero, then one year later. Exercise gym built on
thepremises, ongoing onsite coaching and dietary support from author.
Conclusion:

Moderate exercise of 30 minutes per day 3 times per week increases heart protection by 10%.
Overal reduction of cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL and increasing HDL.
