OBJECTIVE
I am seeking a decision-making system administration position in a
Unix environm
ent.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Unix system administrator with several years of professional
experience, and
non-professional experience going back to early teenage years.
I have skills in many facets of Unix system administration; most of my
experience is in Linux and Solaris administration over a large cluster
of
both personal and public machines. I am quick to learn new software,
but have
substantial experience with NIS, NFS, Apache, Sendmail, and dozens of
other commonly-
used software packages. I am also a skilled programmer in several
scripting
languages as well as C and C. Additionally, all of my experience thus
far
has been in planning-level positions, which has given me many chances
to plan
projects and then implement them.
All of my professional work so far has been in non-profit and
educational
environments, although these jobs (especially the most recent) have
had
requirements typical of a production environment. I considered it a
personal
goal always to perform production-quality work. I look forward to the
chance
to continue this goal.
