o Coordinates and administers activities related to EMS system operations for the Medical Control region, to include the involvement of the participants of the Medical Control Authority " EMS agencies, hospitals, central dispatch centers, and emergency management offices. Emergency responses are estimated at 20,000-25,000 (calls received through 911 for EMS Response). Coverage area is 3,304 square miles; full time population is approximately 268,000 people, with 1 medical helicopter, 9 ALS agencies, 19 BLS agencies and 16 MFR agencies, 4 hospitals, 7 central dispatch centers, 1 level-II trauma center in a seven county region. Project and Program Management
o Spearheaded Regional Project to improve interoperable communications with the implementation of the Michigan Statewide 800 MHz communication system into the emergency medical services.
o Coordinated a Regional Telehealth Video Conferencing Project. This project entailed upgrading all nine of our Northern Michigan Telehealth Video conferencing centers utilizing our regional ASPR Preparedness Grant.
o Provide oversight for Medical Control Authority HEROS project (2006 " 2010). Annual project to enhance the ability for emergency medical services to respond to large-scale emergencies.
o Over the last 6 years working as the fiduciary manager for the Region-7 Medical Bio Defense Network, I have assisted and or drafted numerous contracts for both vendor specific projects and contracted employees
o Coordinated the placement of four Laerdal Sim Man trainers dispersed throughout Northern Michigan; I have acted as a catalyst in setting up simulation educator user networks for the sharing of educational tools and facilitated region-wide upgrades to the simulation trainers in the four simulation labs in Northern Michigan.
o Over the last 3 years I have worked with our Trauma Center in developing regional and local trauma protocols, assisted with the coordination of training and education and regularly participate in the PEER review meetings and assist the Trauma Program with its American College of Surgeons Level-II Trauma Accreditation.
o Implemented Medical Priority Dispatch System into five county 911-dispatch centers (Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska Grand Traverse and Leelanau)
o Conduct Monthly PEER Review meetings for Patient Care Issues.
o Consultant for Benzie County Advance Life Support Committee and Board of Commissioners in the development and implementation (2006 Start-up) of a new countywide Advance Life Support Department.
o Implemented Regional ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Program. Following the American Heart Associations Mission Lifeline guidelines.
o Key member of the Munson Medical Center Emergency Management Committee and Safe Work Environment Committee.
o Implemented patient hospital diversion policy to improve time frame for patients to receive critical care.
o Coordinated three regional workshops for trauma, burn, and pediatric care.

o Coordinated the recruitment and development of the Grand Traverse Medical Reserve Corps. Still in progress.

o Coordinated a mass fatality and hospital evacuation seminar for Region-7 for the development of mass fatality and mass evacuation operational plans for region.
