To Whom It May Concern,

The purpose of this letter is to express my interest in obtaining a position in the area of Management or Sales. I have been a teacher at Hopewell High School in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania since August of 1997. During my time at Hopewell, I have experienced teaching students of all intellectual levels from remedial to general to accelerated. Being able to manage a classroom of students from all backgrounds has prepared me to be able to manage diverse groups of people. The ability to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds has also prepared me for a career in management or sales. I graduated with a Bachelor`s Degree from Duquesne University in 1997, and I earned my Master`s Degree from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2004.

Besides teaching at Hopewell, I have also gained experience as a head coach in varsity baseball, varsity boy`s tennis, varsity boy`s and girl`s cross country, junior high basketball, colt league baseball and junior high baseball. I served as an assistant coach in varsity baseball, varsity basketball, varsity football, and junior high football. I have served as a co-sponsor for the Classes of 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, and student council. I was also the co-founder of the Hopewell Homecoming Carnival that became a tremendously successful event in 2002 and 2003. I truly understand the value that extra-curricular activities have in supplementing the education of young people. Extra-curricular activities are a very important part of the development of a young adult, and I have never shied away from the opportunity to help students enhance their high school experience. I became a teacher to positively affect the lives of young people, and I believe I have done that at Hopewell. I have completely dedicated myself to the teaching profession. I am ready to take on new challenges in my life, and I have proven through my work ethic, that I will completely dedicate myself to whatever career I pursue.

Over fifteen years of teaching and coaching has prepared me to meet the challenges I will face in different careers. As a teacher, I was asked not only to manage students of different backgrounds and ability levels, but also be able to effectively communicate with the parents of these students. Teaching is all about communication. I had to be able to sell to my students that the information being discussed was important. By being able to do this effectively, I believe that I have developed skills that can help me be successful in many other walks of life.

Please review my resume, and feel free to contact me if you would like to have any other information pertaining to this position. I am available for an interview at your convenience. Thank you for your time, and I wish you the best of luck during the search to find the right person for this position.

Sincerely,

Joseph A. Rubino
