Performed patient related care tasks (directed bedside and therapeutic care). Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under supervision of a Licensed Nurse and/or Licensed Therapist. Obtain and record patient vital signs. Monitor and record daily intake and output. Obtain specimens, including non-invasive body fluids and blood specimens. Perform EKG and Blood Glucose monitoring. Perform straight caths. Monitor and perform actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to: use of computerized Bed Tracking System, performing timely designated discharge duties, and communicating discharge information to appropriate staff. Assist Physicians, Licensed Nurses and/or Licensed Therapists with diagnostic tests, clinical procedures and other tasks as requested.
