Purpose/Intent
The synopsis below is intended to provide some insight into my professional experience. Since this experience is broad based and addresses most areas of business from a management and entrepreneurial scope, I have kept it succinct and would welcome the opportunity to elaborate. I am looking for a new opportunity to apply my considerable experience and expertise in business as well as enjoy the excitement and challenge of working to build or expand a business enterprise.
Experience/History
VAS, Inc 1994 to Present
Operating Midas Automotive Franchises
Vice-president/Franchisee
The company operated six Midas Franchises located in Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was involved in the transitioning of the business from a Brake, Suspension, and Exhaust operation to a Total Car Care enterprise with essential hiring and management responsibilities. Duties also included budgeting and finance and resulted in an expansion from three to six stores. After the decision was made in 2010 to sell the franchises I created the marketing plan and facilitated the development of a successful transition.
While operating the Midas Franchises I was elected President of the International Midas Dealers Association (IMDA). IMDA represents the 2000 Midas Stores in North America. Worked closely with Midas Internationals senior management as all phases of the Midas Program are developed and operated with dealer committees (IMDA) and Midas International staff.
