EXPERIENCE

Fitness Evaluator / Instructor and Personal Trainer, Canadian Force National Defense, 2006-2011

Employed at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt as a sports and tness instructor, then moving to the 19 Wing

Comox, Airforce base. Administer tness evaluation for members of the Canadian Forces, including special

trades such as Search and Rescue Technicians, Fire ghters and Special Operations personnel. Also administer

recruit testing for people wishing to join the Canadian Forces. Prepare and instruct physical tness training

sessions for both individuals and units.

Athletic Therapist, Canadian Forces National Soccer Championships September 2010

Contracted by the Canadian Forces to work the Military National Championship in Soccer for both mens and

women's. Worked under head athletic trainer and osteopath Mike Ducet treating over 600 athletes, attending

36 games over one week in Saint-Jean Quebec.

Personal Trainer for Hanneka Smart & Trish De Hass, Comox, B.C. 2008-2010

Evaluated posture and movement to develop a strength and cardiovascular program to meet lifestyle improve-

ments. Incorporated a holistic approach with activities like snowshoeing and hiking into their programs as

seasonal activities to compliment their strength and cardiovascular improvements. Both clients exceeded their

expected potential with results to increase strength, endurance, weight loss, energy and self con dence.

Personal Trainer for Kjersten Lone, Professional Mountain Bike Racer, Whistler, B.C. 2005-2010

Developed training program as a junior elite level mountain bike racer with progression to Pro Women cate-

gory in both cross country and down hill mountain bike racing. Kjersten rides for the provincial team and Na-

tional team and competes in International races, as well as the world championships.

Personal Support Worker for Children with Disabilities, Esquimalt, B.C. 2005-2006

Personal support worker for 3 children with behavioral and learning disabilities. I would meet the children

after school and walk them to the Esquimalt Recreation Center after-school care where I would interact, moni-

tor and adjust activities depending on the child's tolerance in attention and interaction on each given day. A

large part of the adjustments for these children were to enable them to get rid of frustrations in a positive form

using physical activity. I utilized the Esquimalt Recreation Center pool as well as indoor and outdoor space for

these activities.
