Qualification

** **ars of extensive engineering work experience in development, support and testing environment.

Involved in several full product development cycles including project development under regulatory and

quality control processes. Heavily involved in embedded (ARM) and DSP based projects for

communication and control systems. Knowledge of several software environments and simulation tools

like Matlab, Labview, VisSim, C, Assembly (Ti DSP Family) etc. Adapt quick to the changing needs and

the requirements. Proven track records of the past performances (References and copies of past

performance reviews available on request).

Professional Experience

Boston Scientific CRM group, St. Paul, MN 09/05 - Present

Sr. Software Engineer

Responsible for RF Physical, MAC and DL layer protocol development for external and implanted

devices. Work in collaboration with other group to expedite the development and design requirements of

RF telemetry projects. Knowledge of RF and Inductive telemetry protocol.

Product Support

Responsible for maintaining software radio (SWR) assets that enable telemetry link between implanted and

external devices. Perform Software Maintenance Releases (SMR) as needed to address field issues related to

telemetry. Create regulatory and quality process documents pertaining to the SWR subsystem as needed

for the product approval before the field release.

Quality Control

Work with the Test System Engineering group to help create validation protocol for RF performance.

" Develop Labview based RF validation Code for Test System Engineering to calculate few RF

performance parameters like bit error rate (BER), sensitivity, center frequency offset etc.

National Oilwell, Houston, TX 09/03 - 08/05

Advanced Development Engineer

" Design and developed DSP based digital control modules for engines and 600V AC generators used in oil

and gas drilling environment. The digital controller implementation was based on a PID design using a

TMS320C2x DSP platform. Also designed and developed user interface for tuning PID parameters and

other system configurations applicable for the control module. The simulation was performed using

VisSim tool.

" Helped develop DSP control modules for DC motor drive.

" Developed CAN networking for engine control modules in order to effectively perform load sharing and

to exchange alarm and other status information. CAN network was interfaced with the PLC to provide a

single facility automation and control module.

" Responsible for developing windows based applications to program the DSP flash, do real time data

logging and modules configuration using the serial RS232 port.

Digital Communication (Modem)

Note: All the following jobs were the continuation of the same working group. The companies name

change was due to buyouts and business closures.

Titan Technology Alliance LLC, Bristol, CT 08/02 - 09/03

DSP Consultant

" A member of a group of four people to provide technical support to Texas Instrument on their

TMS320VC54V90 based embedded modem products.

" Provided consultancy to Litchfield Communication, Watertown, Ct. with DSP Hardware and Software

design to implement Source Clock Frequency Recovery (SCFR) algorithm for data passed through

Packet Switched Network (PSN).

PCTEL, Communication System Division 12/98 - 07/02

Embedded Software Engineer

" Develop and maintain code on assembly level for modem platforms based on TI DSP TMS320C54x.

Responsible for customer issues, bugs fixing, performance enhancement and code optimization. Also

involved in software validation, verification and testing phase of the products.

" Involved in V92 PCM upstream mode code development. Mainly responsible for Modem Handshake

and System Integration.

" Participated in low powered Ti DSP TMS320C5406 modem solution.

" Reed Solomon encoding/decoding for G.lite DMT Modem based on TI DSP.

" Contributed in code translation from TI C50 to TI C54 assembly for PcTel T2M Modem development.

Tested functionalities of some of the major software modules ranging from operating system to

schemes as defined in V34, V32Bis, and V22Bis modem standards. Rewrote most of the signal

processing blocks like Echo Canceller, Equalizer, Interpolator and AGC. Implemented filters for low

speed modulation like FSK and DPSK.

" High Density CO modem (4 modems per processor) solution for T1 line.

General Datacomm, Advanced Networking Access Division 10/96 - 12/98

DSP Engineer

" Involved in Central Office ADSL modem development using another vendors ADSL chipset.

Developed code for Motorolla MC68302 as a host processor to talk to the ADSL chipset and the

ethernet transceiver.

" Participated in V90 and X2 standard modem development.

" Developed code to support Async to Sync HDLC Frame conversion option for TA modem to access

internet using Point to Point Protocol on an ISDN subscribed line.

" Experienced in writing and testing interface codes for microprocessor with other peripherals like Codec,

AFE, SCC etc. in several ports (serial, parallel, HPI etc.) settings.

" Performed hardware debugging for DSVD modem. Designed and programmed PAL for the platform to

access memories and peripherals through DSP. Developed testing codes to check proper access of program

and data bus and desired functionality of peripherals like Codec, AFE, SCC etc. Wrote initialization codes

for AFE and SCC.

" Extensively used DSP development tools like TIC50 emulator for code testing, debugging, simulation

etc. Also used testing instruments like Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Eye

Pattern Generator, BERT, Central Office Simulator etc.

EDUCATION

" MSEE, Florida International University Miami, FL, 2002

o Thesis Topic: Blind equalization modeling for a very high-speed digital subscriber line (VDSL)

" A complete VDSL transceiver and channel model was developed in C language, and was used in

simulations to demonstrate the feasibility of blind approach for channel equalization in VDSL

environment.
