Ecosystem Mobile Lead/Project Manager
Project manager for the new device engine on the Verizon Wireless developer portal (VDC).
Project manager for the new Legal Streamline during the applications submission for the Verizon
Wireless application store. Wrote technical requirements including the UI design. Led technical and

- Guru troubleshooting of different VDC teams technical problems, being the only engineer with
extensive experience with Mobile SDLC.
- Continuously supported customers over the phone, on forums, through emails, onsite, or at the
conferences.
- Wrote sample applications on BlackBerry and Android (GPS, CHAPI) with detailed technical and
troubleshooting documentation.
- Assisted customers with technical and coding problems and through the process of getting published
on VCAST Apps store.
Led the technical Android and BlackBerry teams for the successful launch of the VcastApps store.
Wrote technical guides improving the Verizon Developer Community system based on developers'
feedback (Location-based apps for Android and BlackBerry, CHAPI for BlackBberry )
Intensively used CMS to publish technical documentation on the developer portal.
Wrote technical documentation for non-technical teams.
SECURE COMPUTING CORPORATION, Authentication Division, Concord, CA 1997 2009
(Acquired by Aladdin Knowledge Systems in 09/08, and by Safenet Inc. in 03/09.)
The division migrated from Waterfall to Agile, using Agile Iterative Software development: cyclic software
development process, self-organizing cross functional teams, continuous improvement through frequent
inspection and adaption. The Application Lifecycle Management used a single tool ((AR system) to
integrate features related to requirements management, coding, testing, defect tracking and release
management, using continuous integration (Cruise Control), Extreme Programming, test driven
development, code review, refactoring.
Teams (developers, QA, technical writers) were collocated and in direct and continuous collaboration.
I have been a project leader for many of the released projects.
Senior Software Engineer
Technical team leader for SafeWord MobilePass - the company s first mobile product,
dramatically reducing production costs. Led the mobile technology team through all phases of SDLC:
researching platforms and tools, creating VMWare test labs, building Ant scripts for each mobile platform,
revising QA test plans, technical documentation, and marketing announcements of the new product.
Designed, developed, released and supported SafeWord MobilePass - a software-based two-factor
authentication solution. The product generates one-time passcodes (OTP) on mobile phones
(BlackBerry, PalmOS and J2ME-enabled). As the sole developer for this product, I wrote a flexible
API and an easy to use, robust GUI, which adapts its screens and functionality based on the Token
configuration. I extensively tested and adapted the GUI, made it compatible across the supported
platforms, getting only positive feedback from the customers.
Developed MobilePass for the Android mobile platform. As the sole developer, I redesigned the
JavaME software, isolated cross-platform APIs in order to consolidate the further development of the
products, and designed bridging solutions between the platforms.
Designed, Developed and Released JavaME SafeWord MobilePass SDK, with sample code, and
JavaDocs, as a sole developer.
Technical team leader for the GUI Java Client development for the all the released products .
The Management Console has a very complex GUI providing enterprise-wide management of users,
tokens, and access rights as well as event logging and reporting. Platforms supported: Windows and
UNIX. The initial Client was the first Java product for the company, and I have released the project in
time, compensating for the work of the other two developers, which became unavailable. Wrote robust,
test driven, user friendly GUIs using Java 1.1, Java 2.x, AWT, Swing, MVC, various Java patterns.
Technical team leader for redesigning the product s encryption architecture. Designed and led the
team to implementing a new flexible plug-in architecture for different cryptographic providers, using Java
patterns.
Technical Team Leader for architecting the test automation processes. Researched the available
tools and selected the most suitable ones to introduce the automated testing. Created the framework
and libraries to be used by the QA team. I wrote detailed documentation and trained the QA team to
use WinRunner and QF- test suite. This process had a huge impact improving in the quality of the
products.

SECURE COMPUTING CORPORATION (Continued)
Technical Team Leader for the SafeWord Installer on UNIX. Designed and developed the Java
GUI, using scripts to install, uninstall, configure, or administer already installed administration console,
core, and optional servers.
Designed, Developed and Released the SafeWord Reporting Tool : this feature was required by
customers as mandatory for buying the product. As a sole developer, I researched implementation
solutions and selected the most performing one: the open-source Java Excel API. Wrote proofs of concept,
used Java Profilers, and redesigned several iterations to accelerate the processing of a large amount of data
within the system and JVM limitations. Designed a responsive and easy to use GUI using Swing
threading. The reports were generated in Excel (.xls) or other formats, as configured. I developed a GUI
for a real time activity monitor. Wrote scripts to create reports from the command line, VBA sample
projects and Excel macros.
Wrote Soft Token (OATH standards-based) SDK as a sole developer : implementation, sample
code, and documentation required by many customers using two factor authentications.
Implemented Java fuzz tests for the core servers. Those tests improved the stress test procedures
for releasing stable, competitive products. Wrote Java plugins, created VMWare test lab, and documented
results.
Wrote xml ANT build scripts, updated InstallShield scripts for released products.
Wrote a Java package analyzer tool. I had the initiative to write this tool, which highly improved
the process of releasing package updates. The tool creates detailed reports of the different affected product
components and was released as an ANT task and standalone with a GUI.
Wrote new Administration Server features and plugins (Java).
Wrote a SoftToken to run on a TI processor. The program was developed in C using the
processor s WorkBench tool. The project was a proof of concept of a potential customer using the
processor.
Wrote Wiki Documentations to widely communicate technical solutions between the division s
engineers.
Involved in client server project written in C. Wrote GUI using MFC.
