Progressive Redevelopment (PRI) was the leading nonprofit developer and owner of affordable
housing in Georgia and one of largest nonprofits in Atlanta with $17 million in revenue.
Responsible for overall management and direction of the company, overseeing staff of 150 plus.
Served also as president of PRI s property management company and its real estate partnerships,
as owner of 27 apartment properties around the state. Co-founded company in 1989 as board
chair and also served as Executive Director from 1992 to 1997. Resumed board chair from 1997
until 2001when returned to staff as President / CEO.

SELECTED CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
Welcome House, the Imperial, and Hope House Conceptualized, planned and financed these
supportive housing facilities, developed by PRI in downtown Atlanta between 1992 and 2004.
Collectively, they represent almost 400 units of the most successful housing for the formerly
homeless ever developed in Atlanta. Residents are provided well managed affordable housing
with social services on site, enabling them to move toward economic and social independence.
Historic Scottish Rite Recognized as one of the finest real estate developments in metro Atlanta
in 2004 by the Urban Land Institute, the Historic Scottish Rite developed by PRI is an historic
rehabilitation of the former Scottish Rite children s hospital, built in 1919 and designed by noted
architect Neel Reid. Spurring the revitalization of the Oakhurst neighborhood south of Decatur, it
now serves as a 26,000 square foot mixed-use office and retail complex and offices for PRI.
2500 Peachtree One of three members of leadership team that developed 2500 Peachtree, at the
time Atlanta s most luxurious condominium with a cost of $50 million. It helped to usher in the
condo boom in Buckhead. 2500 Peachtree remains one of the most striking and graceful
buildings lining Peachtree Road today.
Habit for Humanity International and the Jimmy Carter Work Project Volunteer head of
the 1988 Jimmy Carter Work Project, which over the span of one week constructed 20 simple,
well-built houses in the Edgewood neighborhood. This experience led to a five-year term on the
board of Habitat for Humanity International, with three of those years as Treasurer. The global
exposure and opportunity to learn from Habitat for Humanity s founder, Millard Fuller, and its
most prominent volunteer, Jimmy Carter, was an extraordinary experience that shaped his career.
