2007-2012 Energy Northwest

* Senior Member Relations Representative

I have been able to get eight new members since I have been working at Energy Northwest. There were 20 members when I started in 2007, and we now have 28 members. I have facilitated the Energy and Business Services department to work with several of our members to help them develop projects, or with maintenance issues at their utilities. Through my visits and attendance at meetings I have made many contacts in the utility industry in Washington, and the Pacific Northwest. I have also made many contacts within Energy Northwest, and have built a high level of trust with EN employees.

1984 - 2005 Emerald PUD

* Customer Service

- I have worked in new accounts signing up new customers, and orienting new customer to the services the company provides

- Credit Department making payment arrangements with customers, and helping customers find help in paying their bills

- Bill Collecting - I went to customers homes to give them final notices, and sometimes disconnecting their power

- Customer Complaint Department - I helped customers with high bill inquiries, and helped them discover why they were using so much electricity, I was often given the most difficult customers

* Public Relations

- I have been a spokesman to the media during a large power outage due to storm damage

- I was often called upon to deal with angry customers on high bill inquiries

- I worked with other utilities to complete mutual projects, and to help them correct problems or disputes with EPUD

* Administrative Assistant to the General Manager

- I researched and designed a Low Income Program for EPUD customers to get assistance paying their bills

- I was the liaison between the Board of Directors and the General Manager/Senior Staff

* Joint Pole Program Inspector

- I organized a new position, set responsibilities, created forms for reporting

- I negotiated contracts with other utilities who were attached to EPUD poles and I was responsible for answering any contract questions

- I ran a special $500,000 project, on budget and on time

- I coordinated work between departments, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and the Accounting Department

- I coordinated the work on EPUD poles by other utilities, and inspected the work after it was completed

- Worked with new customers, orientation, answering questions, etc.

- Talked to broadcast, and print media for news releases, and to define and discuss current energy issues

- I worked in New Accounts, credit department, and worked with customers to answer their inquiries, often high bill inquiries

- Since Pacific Power was not marketing the sale of electricity, my marketing efforts were directed to convincing residential, commercial, and industrial customers on the benefits of installing conservation measures

* Energy Conservation - Residential, Commercial, and Industrial

- I performed energy audits on residential properties; mostly these were to establish the value of installing insulation, insulated windows, etc.

- I performed audits of commercial buildings to recommend ways to improve lighting, and improving the efficiency of commercial machinery.

- I performed audits of Industrial customers to establish the savings of installing energy efficient motors, and lighting systems.

* Wind & Hydro Electric Generation Site Investigation

* I ran a one-man department in Enterprise Oregon

- I had the record for the most work accomplished, per capita, in every category of the department company-wide
