Life Goal
To expose as many people as possible to the beautiful music of this traditional
instrument, the Celtic Harp.
To expand performing opportunities to include large and well-known venues, to
collaborate and create music with other musicians on recordings and in concert, and to
play the Celtic Harp more experimentally and in non-traditional settings
Education
Formal music education from UCLA
Studied harp technique under Sylvia Woods
Studied stage performance with Ed Hooks (San Francisco, CA), and at the Living
History Centre (Novato, CA)
Teaching Experience
Taught music appreciation for the Los Angeles Unified School District
Presented music assemblies for the Sacramento Waldorf School, El Dorado Union
School District, and Merced Union High School District
Taught Celtic harp workshops at Beginning in the Middle Seminar for adult
beginning harpists
Taught Celtic harp to private students, ongoing since 1987
Performance Experience
Professionally performing on the Celtic Harp since 1983
Performs at over 150 events per year since 1990, including over 100 weddings
Performed for several dignitaries, including the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ireland
Throughout California at hotels, resorts, restaurants, convention centers, and wineries.
Most notably: Disneyland Hotel, Bonaventure Hotel, Caesar s, Harrah s, Harvey s, and
Cal-Neva Resorts at Lake Tahoe, California State Capitol Rotunda, Oakland s Paramount
Theatre, Sacramento Crocker Art Museum, Delta King Riverboat, and at the Atlanta
World Trade Center
Unique Note: Costumed attire upon request includes coordinated modern dress, formal
and informal, and period attire (Renaissance, Victorian, Antebellum, 1920s and 1940s)

Recordings
Haste to the Wedding (Cambria Master Recordings, released 2006) -- Romantic
traditional Celtic music for accompanying wedding festivities. Solo harp and harp with
traditional Celtic instrument ensemble, packaged within a beautiful 48-page book filled
with descriptions of Celtic wedding traditions. All arrangements and package liner notes
by Anne Roos.
Mermaids & Mariners (Cambria Master Recordings, released 2004) -- Traditional and
original music of the sea, arranged for both solo Celtic Harp and with a small ensemble.
Packaging includes a 24-page book explaining the history behind the traditional music.
All arrangements and package liner notes by Anne Roos. Selections from this recording
have been featured on United Airlines in-flight music.
Through the Mist (Timeless Prods. released 2002) -- Original new age flute and harp
duets, with flutist David Blonski. Soothing environmental sounds are woven into the
selections.
