for all the airlines. I was assigned as the project lead to build this system

from the

beginning. The project was accomplished on time and following were my

About the project:

Developed this project using Oracle developer completely and was deployed on

the web

using Oracle developer server 2.1 and 6.0.

The whole project was designed, developed and implemented in production within

just one

year and was highly appreciated by the general from pentagon for the hard work.

Now in a process of converting this entire application to Java using

Jdeveloper. Responsible for writing server side business logic using Java

servlets, EJB

and Java classes, and creating Java cartridges.

IPDS is an on line web based system which is now worldwide. All the US air

force bases

through out the world are using this application. The process is as follows.

There are

four major modules in this module. The submission, evaluation, award and

administration

modules. The submitter submits an idea by accessing the submission module and

after the

submission is completed it goes to the evaluation module for evaluation of that

idea.

After the evaluation and if it is approved then it will go to the award module

where the

tangible/intangible amount is calculated. All will be notified electronically.

My responsibilities:

1. Was responsible for designing of the overall IPDS system.

2. Designing of the IPDS database model.

3. Developing the IPDS prototype. The prototype was developed using

designer/2000

and oracle application server.

4. Complete installation, configuration and administration of oracle

database.
