R&D: Fixture design and testing of automated tooling for large sections of production hardware.

R&D: Product Hardware testing and CFD analysis used with test apparatus on T-33 jet airplane.

R&D: Design and configuration Lead over several Engineers for a Boeing funded ($60K) research project called SunFly, solar powered unmanned composite airplane. Handled design, configuration, integration, Manufacturing Engineering, rapid prototyping and tooling, for final product.

Product Design: Performed thermal analysis and assisted in product design for brand new food cart enclosure.

Product Design: Conducted SolidWorks Computational Fluid Dynamics used on 737NG Strakelet for thermal analysis.

Production: Setup SolidWorks Network using PDM for easy CAD file sharing between Engineers and groups in cross org institution within Boeing.

Production: Project Engineer role responsible for design / layout, planning and implementation of several Product Cost Improvement Programs for 777 program. Redesign and elimination of

diagonal brace removal on 777 for potential cost reduction per ship-set of ~$6800 and total 5 yr reduction of $2.47million production cost.

Production: Detail CAD design using Catia V5 and SolidWorks of multiple flight hardware components.

Product Development: Designed structural hardware using Catia V5 and optimized design using stress analysis tools in V5 for easy hand off to Stress team. Integrated and created design requirements for Root Rib for Raked Wing tip for 777. Performed trade-off studies on structural members.

Production: Handled Kinematic Study of landing gear for several derivatives of 777 to check for component interference of drag brace structural member.

Production: Completed detail designs for Nitrogen Generation System, Engineering Liaison Requests, configuration, and served as hub to analysis, manufacturing, liaison, and tooling engineers to release drawings.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN Summer 2007

Pasadena, CA

R&D: Experimental prototype design, construction, trade-off study and testing of long range harpoon for non-earth in situ sample acquisition hardware used on telerobotics for possible future missions to Mars and Titan.

R&D: Design for Manufacturability, rapid concept, and hardware design development to test feasibility of composite retractable satellite dish prototype. Provided product definition and developed concepts using SolidWorks CAD system. All parts and final prototype were made on time with flawless first-run functionality.
