I work in a team-based environment frequently planning, evaluating, implementing, and completing a wide variety of projects related to technology occurring

simultaneously in support of delivery of educational and multimedia content. I supervise three full-time positions and one part-time position with responsibility over

multimedia classroom design/installation/support, university campus cable television system, university streaming media systems, live and on demand classroom

capture, standards based video conferencing, web conferencing and various multimedia distribution technologies. I enjoy researching, acquiring and implementing new

technologies as well as managing the staff and budget to support technologies needed to meet the mission of our organization.

Design, implement, manage and update multimedia multi-terabyte fiber channel storage raid arrays/SAN/servers, production, conferencing, and distribution

system.

Manage, develop, test, operate, and maintain several Windows servers, virtualized and standalone. The servers are used for but not limited to file sharing,

Internet, and video on demand applications, which deliver MPEG2, MP3, MP4, Real Video, Windows Media, Silverlight, QuickTime, Flash and other types

of web content to users on the Intra and Internet.

Deploy and maintain automated live classroom capture technologies like but not limited to Panopto and Accordent Capture.

Manage various IIS web servers used for distribution of web-based courseware.

Work with faculty and staff on using the distribution system for delivering multimedia rich courseware.

Work in a team that supports courseware management services currently utilizing WebCT/Blackboard.

Manage multimedia distribution system including but not limited to cable TV infrastructure, LAN/WAN based media distribution and conferencing.

Manage, develop, test, operate, service, and bill for H.320 and H.323 compliant Polycom and Tandberg compressed multimedia video conferencing systems

and video bridge/gateway (Polycom MGC series, RMX 2000 video bridges and CMA 4000); create and operate interconnection between the standard and

non-standard based video and audio conferencing systems; technical and purchasing knowledge of dialable wide band primary rate T-1, ISDN, DS3, and

switch 56 service.

Deployment and support of multimedia conferencing programs/hardware that is compliant with the H.320, H.323, H.324 standards.

WWW authoring/Instructional Design for several online delivered content, departmental, and other web sites.

Work with other team members with research, development, and implementation of new educational technologies; work with staff and faculty to see benefits

they would receive from proposed new technologies. Lead the acquisition and implementation of multimedia distribution and collaborative tools.

Work with courseware developers in creating multimedia delivered applications.

Assist in professional development for faculty, staff, and students on projects using technologies that deliver content online.

Recommend campus wide policy and procedure for technology integration and integration for multimedia distribution.

Manage and perform support of all labs and desktops in our department.

Deployed and lead digital signage project utilizing Visix digital signage application.

Manage various operation budgets.

Over 15 years experience in video and audio production; linear and non-linear editing; perform many single and multi-camera (multi-camera switched and

post based) productions every year supporting content creation for delivery via web streaming, CD, DVD, campus cable television system an d other digital

mediums.

Operated a mobile Ku uplink satellite truck until the sale of it on September 1997. Responsible for up links/down links, audio and video engineering,

broadcast quality video editing, all equipment operation, service, and billing.
