My first hairstylist position in 1984 with Supercuts I was promoted after just 3 months to Manager, grew retail sales from average of $50 per month to over $1,500 per month in first year. Worked closely with staff and clients to build a loyal following, soon becoming one of the owners top producing salon chains of which she owned several of. My first love of the salon industry started here with a three year career near UCDavis, California.

After this I married, moved away and became salon manager at all future stylist positions around the country for the next two decades until I purchased my first salon in Midlothian, Virginia. After moving to Texas in 2005 I opened a 1540 square foot salon and day spa in a high profile shopping center. I employed a consistent staff of 11-13 stylists, Massage Therapists, Estheticians, Nail Techs, Hairstylists and Receptionists.

I did all the banking, bookeeping, payroll, purchasing, restocking, salon event planning, wedding bookings, staff scheduling, reviews, designed and decorated salon and spa rooms, salon handbook, procedures, pricing, advertising and more.
