Hello,my name is Michael and I live on MT.Desert Island in Maine in the town of Bar Harbor. I am hoping to find a job in Skagway for the 2013 tourist season.Hope to arrive in April and work until at least October, but will stay longer if position requires.I am an experienced waiter,bartender and cook. For the past 10 years I have operated a cleaning/property management company catering to vacation rental owners.Living in Bar Harbor, which is a resort community, I have also worked in restaurants during the season (May through October).My average week during the season is usually around 60 hours so I am no stranger to hard work.I chose Skagway because it seems similar to Bar Harbor :both communities are dependent on cruise ships and tourism.Also,I spent 2 months backpacking around Alaska and fell in love with the state and the people. I will need housing and hope that arriving in April will increase my chances of finding a place.I also have over 5 years in retail selling outdoor gear and tourist 'stuff'.I am honest,dependable and a hard worker.Looking forward to hearing from prospective employers.Thank you and see you in April.
