Engineering Center of Excellence
Benchmarked FRANC3D a Fracture Mechanics tool for non-linear
fracture mechanics by comparing CT sample analysis data against
experimental data.
Stress analysis and life calculation of cracked cooling slot
of turbine rotor using FRANC3D and ANSYS. This involves 3D FE modeling and
fracture analysis of two and three sector turbine bucket and dovetail with
different length of cracks.
GE Turbine Rotor Life Analysis:
Transient Mission Analysis using ANSYS.
Joint Behavior Study.
Burst capability calculation for turbine rotors,
Creep Analysis for turbine wheel dovetail.
LCF (Crack initiation) and Crack Propagation life
calculation.
Automation of burst calculation process for turbine rotor.
This automation tool is developed in VB to avoid manual calculation,
manual errors and to increase productivity. This is a six-sigma project
which record saving of more than $25K.
3D contact analysis of bolted joint in turbine rotor and
find out the effect of interference on stress intensity factor of crack
near to joint.
Life calculations of hot gas path components
Life data analysis (empirical life modeling)
for combustor hardware.
Certified GE Six Sigma Green Belt.
Web page design using MS FrontPage of Reliability Group.
