Teacher, Third Grade 2004 to present
Taught 130 children over a six year period at Cedar Hill Elementary, a Title I school in Lawrenceville,
Georgia. Planned and provided appropriate learning experiences for students based on district Academic
Knowledge and Skills and Georgia Professional Standards curriculums. Provided an atmosphere and
environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals.

in Manassas, Virginia. As a second grade teacher, my responsibilities included: teaching a variety of
subjects ranging from reading, writing, word study, and mathematics to technology, science, and social
studies, designing and implementing lesson plans of varying difficulty, introducing classroom management
plans that allowed all students to learn with little disruption, testing and evaluation of student achievement,
interaction with students parents or guardians, following and contributing to the PWCPS and Virginia
Standards of Learning curriculums, and participating in school and county continuing education courses.

retirement, temporary duties, continental United States or overseas moves, and Professional Military
Education courses for all active duty personnel assigned to Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC. Also
volunteered with the 11th Wing Mentoring Program and Growing Together, Inc. to mentor 6-12 year olds.
