Au Lac Drive North
Chesterfield, MI *****
****-*******@*******.***
Employed from 3-1-07 through 3-24-10
At Applebee's, I was a host, following proper seating rotation so that every server got an equal amount of tables. This also included interacting with customers and being observant to meet whatever needs the customers would have. I also functioned as a carry-out worker, answering the phones, taking orders and putting the orders together and handling money. Some other duties included dishwashing, expo (putting the entrees together) and I was able to cook.
Reason for leaving: I moved to Chesterfield, so the drive wouldn't be feasible.
Tech Induction
13129 23 Mile Rd.
Shelby Twp, MI 48315
Employed from 7-18-09 through 11-10-06
At Tech Induction, I learned how to read blueprints so that I could check the new coils and make sure they measured up to the prints. I'd measure various lengths and pressure check each piece, recording the PSI and checking each part for leaks. When I was finished with inspections, I would tag them and they'd be ready to be shipped. If parts didn't measure up, I'd take them back to the builder and they'd fix the problem.
I was also in the shipping and receiving department. This was the other half of my job. When shipments came in, I'd be responsible for signing for the package/s, checking them in, and turning in the paperwork. When larger parts and shipments came in, I'd drive the hi-lo and take them off the truck. I'd put supplies away in their respective places.
Another aspect of my Tech Induction experience can be filed under “miscellaneous”. When there weren't inspections to do, or shipments to check in, I'd spend my time doing whatever else was needed. I'd always check with my boss or the foreman Being new in the field, there wasn't a lot that I could do in the way of making the coils, so I would mostly do needed janitorial work around the shop. I'd sweep, take the garbage out, help out the guys in any way that I could. Once a week, I'd do thorough bathroom cleanings. Many times I'd be sent to the other shop to help clean off some of the larger coils to be fixed. I was willing to do whatever was needed to do.
At Tech Induction, we worked 10 hour shifts, so I am capable of working long shifts that require heavy lifting and a long time standing on my feet.
Reason for leaving: There wasn't enough work for me to do, so I was laid off.
As my varied job experience shows, I am able to adapt to the circumstances, and do a variety of jobs. I am always on time and have no crazy demands. I know what it's like to work under pressure and I know how to use my down time productively. I can provide references and other past employment if needed. You can contact any of these employers and I'd be happy to answer any other questions you'd have for me.
