Duties:
As an employee at NASA I started as an engineer performing tours of Chilled Water Air Handling Unit with steam reheats and preheats and also humidification to track and support scientific experiments and data. I performed P.M. on Air Dryers, Roof Top Units, Steam Stations, and Pumps, toured electrical vault monitoring any UPS or battery alarms. We had several switch gear room that varied in capacity depending on the customer and need for diesel emergency support. I responded to fire alarms resetting various brands of panels. I toured a total of up to 30 buildings total at the campus for leaks heating and cooling issues as they came up. The campus has a square footage in the area of 5 million sq ft of office, industrial, research and testing facilities.
In 2005 I became a Shift Supervisor and was responsible for 5 engineers and first responder impacted issues along with tracking fleet maintenance inspections of staff. I made reports of day to day operational issues. I also distribute work orders and close them out at the end of the shift using the Maximo software.

Duties:
As a plant operator I am responsible for the Steam Plant operations on 4 60,000 lb high pressure boilers that serve a government campus. I maintain logbooks of plant changes such as changing the load of the boilers from one boiler to the other or rotation of other associated equipment. I supervise 2 boiler tenders that respond to plant related issues such as switching from fuel oil to natural gas. I log fuel deliveries and personnel that enter and exit the plant. I also assist contractors in annual and monthly P.M.`s to the boilers to stay within safe and efficient operational requirements of the government and state.
