Educational Philosophy - Based on my experiences as a student at Central Michigan University, a Program Instructor with the Close Up Program, and a Teacher-Mentor inside the Virtual Learning Academy, I have developed a powerful educational philosophy based on the learning needs of the "21st Century Learner." One week's worth of information students acquire today is equivalent to the amount of information people obtained in a lifetime during the second half of the 19th Century. It is true we live in the "information age." As professional educators, we need to tap into modernistic ways of attaining information that reaches all learners.
