Dust and clean all hard surfaces. Gather and empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners. Clean, disinfect and maintain washrooms. Restock washrooms with necessary paper supplies. Wet mop and spot mop all corridors, offices, washrooms and classrooms. Strip, finish and polish floors. Respond to service requests, coordinate resources and implement the set up and take down of furniture and equipment for a wide variety of school events. Notify Assistant Head Custodian and District Maintainer about needed repairs and replacement equipment. Effectively communicate with building principle as needed. Maintain all custodial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Move and carry equipment and furniture. Properly and safely operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and carpet machines. Maintain building grounds when needed. Supervise summer help when requested.
