Pastoral Philosophy

I believe that God has called me as a pastor-shepherd. I cannot imagine not being able to pastor. I

believe my purpose of pastoring is to equip the saints to do the ministry in building up the Body. This

means encouraging people to be the toe or the hand or whatever part God has assigned them. I don t

think I know the Bible better than everyone to the point where I am unteachable. I don t have boastful pride

in my faith wherein I cannot be inspired by the faith of others. In public prayer, I don t babble on in prayer

thereby cutting out others who want to pray. I m called to shepherd in all that the vocation means. I am to

lead by example and by serving. I am to counsel with truth and love, to love and inspire others to love, to

protect, to live a life of grace towards all. When, and if, the situation comes about, I am to lay my life down

for the sheep.

Spiritual approach: 1 Peter 4:10 Life Testimony: 1 Peter 4:1-3

Spiritual Gifts

According to Scripture, Ephesians 4 and 1 Corinthians 12, I have been called by God as a pastor for this

spiritual task and gifted by Him accordingly. God has given me the gifts of evangelism, discipleship,

administration, teaching, preaching, shepherding, and counseling. He has used my life experiences and

inbred marketing, technical, and entrepreneurial skills to assist many in need. I have very strong computer

skills.

My wife and I have surrendered ourselves (both physically and nancially) to this faith-based ministry to

share in the regular sufferings and the joy that comes with this task. My wife, Adrienne, has gained strong

skills in ministry bookkeeping. She is able to teach Bible studies for women and plays ute in the worship

team. She is strong in prayer and being a helpmeet. She manages our hobby ranch and homeschools our

children.

Personal Testimony

In 1989, I found myself in the very same spot that so many people today nd themselves in. Living in

California, I had nally lost my drivers license due to multiple drunk-driving tickets and a near-fatal

motorcycle wreck. I had engaged in criminal nancial misconduct. I was then unemployed, medically

indigent, under court supervision, and either living with friends or under house-arrest. I did not have a

vehicle and had to ride a bicycle for transportation. I was required to attend drunk-driving classes and give

random urine analysis samples. I had to pay nes and legal fees exceeding $40,000. In all of this, I learned

to appreciate my blessings.

I turned my life over to Jesus in 1989 at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, CA. I then started a self-employed

business and even lived in my of ce for several months. Gradually, I employed 3-4 workers at a time. By

1992, I had married my present wife and we purchased a house in Folsom, California. We presently live in

Pagosa Springs, Colorado in the mountains on a 9 acre ranch. We have two absolutely wonderful Christian

teenagers.

Thanks to God, I have been delivered to the point of blessing I presently live.
