Between 1984 and 1998, I was convicted for crimes of which I take full responsibly. I know what I was doing was wrong however, at the time I was on drugs and my mindset was that I had to support my habit by any means. While in prison, I took the time to better myself. I received my GED and a Certification in Cosmetology, Effective Communication, and an Employment Readiness Course.

Upon being released, I have volunteered at the Buncombe County Jail bringing the N.A. and A.A meetings to the woman who has not found a better way of life as I have. I wanted to give back what was so freely given to me when I was caught up in the grips of my addiction. Since then, I have gone on to acquire a Certification in Sex and Drug Counseling in hopes to understand the addiction which kept me sick for so long and I also acquired my Class A CDL s.

At present, I am attending Ashford University online to acquire my Associates of Art in Business. I do understand why you may be hesitant to hire someone with my background; however, today I can say that I am a changed person. I am a very dependable, hard working and trust worthy person who is asking for a chance to participate and to grow with your company.
