Accomplishments
I worked for many years as a 911 dispatcher. Along with the absolute need for accuracy and abiltity to multi-task. I have the ability to stay calm when all situations around you would dictate the opposite. I have many calming skills when dealing with people who are upset, scared or otherwise unsettled. I handle situations in a manner that gives confidence to clients that their situation is most important and will be handled correctly. I also have experience in bookkeeping and was a design coordinator for Rocky Mountain Log homes about 13 years ago.
Experience
August 2012 to Current
Go Alpine Steamboat Springs, CO
Night Manager
I love this company and after I left the county they welcomed me with open arms. I would consider a job that has benefits and daytime hours. I'm currently the overnight dispatcher and night manager. I deal primarily with local taxis. I would prefer they not be contacted at this time.
May 2006 to March 2012
Routt County Communications Steamboat Springs, CO
Public Safety Dispatcher
This is a very demanding job often high stress with absolute accuracy demanded. I was in a position of high trust and government clearances. I had too many certifications to list here but all job related. i.e. Hostage negations, CPR instructor, Medical Dispatching, Verbal Judo instructor (which is the art of getting cooperation without resistance), to name a few. The main reason I left was due to 12-hour shifts that would rotate every 8 weeks. Over-time was out of control and on-call days limited my off days travel. (had to be within 2 hours of center and I do love to camp!)
