Staff Chaplain/ Staff Officer
*Program Management: established and set policy for largest Preventative Relationship and Communication Education Training Program (-Strong Bonds-) in the Department of Defense to offset the threat of suicide and strengthen service member and family resiliency. Developed program in close coordination with Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) Chief of Chaplains Office for the Air Force for 107,000 member Air National Guard component. Finalized guidance at the Director, Air National Guard level in 3 months where prior staff submittals had not succeeded for over a year. Voluntary program grew to nearly double the number of participants in two years from 2700 to 4906 persons, with resulting increase of program events from 85 to 324 nationwide.
* Training Management: Organized or co-led 5 -train the trainer- events per year for up to 180 enlisted and officers through the rank of Colonel. Trained attendees on curriculum, policy, processes and procedures of Relationship Training and communication skills program; Led exercises and simulations for live human relations skills training events. Training manager for planning all training management for an 800+ member military logistics organization to include conducting a variety of weapons ranges and required military classes to meet stringent standards with no adverse incidents or safety mishaps.
* Development: Built new mentorship coaching program that realized 9% total Corps participation in its first three months either as mentors or proteges. Designed all application materials, selected mentor and protege reading selections, wrote program prospectus, training materials, matched participants and developed resource bibliography of books and articles. Recruited peers from the field to serve as mentors.
* Finance and Budgeting: In a fluid, high pressure environment, established the directorate`s financial management process to be included in the Air National Guard budgeting process, secured a resource advisor, arranged for a cost center code to be assigned and submitted projected expenses for travel, operating and program funds through financial management ensuring that all requirements were met to establish the Directorate as a recognized cost center management activity. As a result the Air National Guard Chaplain Corps directorate successfully stood up as an Air staff budgeting activity in 2010 with resources growing from $500k to $3 Million during the first year as a result.
* Policy: Wrote numerous bullet background papers and funding justifications supporting the growth and establishment of the Strong Bonds program and sexual assault prevention training. My program guidance as written was ultimately relied upon at the Secretary of the Air Force level to differentiate the Strong Bonds program from Air Force regular conference guidelines resulting in the sustainment of the program as designed.

* Communication Skills: Served as an Active duty Army chaplain for over seven years. Conducted suicide prevention and financial management classes, worship services, marriage seminars and professional development workshops in a wide variety of settings for hundreds of soldiers both nationally and overseas with no adverse incidents. Additionally, led, planned and organized command programs, memorial services, couple and individual counseling. Conducted original international Christian radio broadcast on the Canadian Forces network reaching thousands of civilian and military listeners in 4 countries. Reinstituted an inspirational luncheon program featuring keynote speakers with 60 persons in weekly attendance.
