I'm going to dispense with the over-formal, boilerplate-style cover letter here. There's no sense in me wasting your time touting my extensive copywriting and web experience. We're all adults here, and you're certainly more than capable of reading the attendant materials attached to this profile. Instead, I'd rather spend a moment to tell you why I feel I'm the ideal candidate for your company.

I've been a professional Copywriter for my entire adult life. During that time, I've developed a reputation for peerless attention to detail, and an obsessive drive for perfection on the page. Crisp grammar, slick syntax, and flawless nuts-and-bolts construction are NOT "optional" in my world. Which is probably why mine is usually the last desk a given piece of work crosses before it's put out into the wild.

During my career, I've worn a lot of hats, and sold a lot of stuff to a lot of people. From a production company's television show, to the cable company that would be delivering it. From mass-produced, nationally-distributed compact discs, to concerts by the artists who appear on them. I've sold sports teams, and sporting goods. Shoes, and shumai. Everything from soup, to nuts. Including actual soup, and literal nuts.
