Accomplishments

During my time at the Thief River Falls Kmart our store had a 4 percentage increase in gross sales compared to last year numbers. Our stores increase was the second largest increase in Northern Wisconsin-Minnesota district (12 stores). My store also was awarded with the highest Customer Satisfaction Award in the district. We scored 3.5 percentage higher than any other stores in the district and Midwest Region.

I was transferred to a Kmart in northern Minnesota where I took control of day to day operations on the Hardlines side of the store. This include (Grocery, Pharmacy, Stationary, Seasonal, Garden, Toys, Electronics, Sports, DIY, and Automotive Departments. My main goals were to keep our associates motivated and on task, maintain a high standard for store presentation, implement new corporate policies, and most importantly customer satisfaction.

Upon completing my internship I was offered an Assistant Store Manager training position with Kmart, completion of college was a requirement before I was allowed to accept the position. During this time I learned the day to day operations of an assistant manager. Some of these duties included customer service, associate development, and merchandising freight.
