I had been hired by EDS to take control over a team of developers to guarantee the timely realization of some critical enhancements of the SAP SD part and the variant configuration. I managed to correct some design errors and to realize a "Quick Change Editor" for the Variant Configurator, without that the project would have abandoned pre-emptively.
