RECOMMENDATIONS
Sahar accomplished much with sheer energy, intelligence, a common sense approach to problems and extraordinary interpersonal skills. As part of her job, she was frequently asked to help American families newly arrived at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia acclimate to the city. She needed to help them understand the city, remain cautious about security issues, while encouraging them to take advantage of the cultural and social opportunities a large sophisticated city offered. Since many of her "clients" were Americans overseas for the first time, they could be a little jittery. Sahar managed this process better than people with far more experience. As a senior in high school, she was nothing short of amazing. She coached and assisted her clients to adapt to their new surroundings more rapidly and with greater satisfaction, raising their morale and increasing their on-the-job performance. Her clients were profoundly grateful; her boss deeply impressed by Sahar's stellar performance. January 18, 2011
Milt Drucker, off., US Embassy - managed Sahar indirectly at United States Department of State in Bogota, Colombia
Sahar has lived most of her adult life as well as her childhood in other countries as her mother worked for the U.S. Department of State. This experience has caused Sahar to develop a maturity level, organizational and communication skills rarely found in others of her peer group. It has allowed her to become fluent in Spanish and facile in learning other languages. January 17, 2011
Christine McClure, Shareholder and Board Member, Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C.-
was a consultant to Sahar at Edinboro University
Sahar is a good student -- intelligent and creative -- with outstanding communication skills. She works well in groups, solves problems, and demonstrates leadership qualities, as witnessed in a successful event planning project. January 25, 2011
Tim Thompson, Professor & Director of the Highland Games, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania,- taught Sahar at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania
Sahar Herbol is one of those students who is what I call a "jewel in my crown." I say this because she has been in several of my classes and has done exceptionally well in all of them. She is mature and dedicated as a student. She goes over and above the call of duty. In fact, we had a public performance in my Oral Interpretation class and one of the lead performers did not show up for the show and Sahar stepped in and did her parts AND the ones of the student who was absent. She had no rehearsal and was amazing! I cannot say enough about Sahar. I know she is going to be a great success and I recommend her without hesitation. June 6, 2012
