Responsible for and overseas all aspects of case preparation for General District Court. Maintains the courts docket, prepares files, runs and reads police reports to determine the prosecutions involvement, determine if a witness is needed for a case, if so I will issue the subpoena for that witness to appear in court. I also monitor the Police Department, and the Sheriffs office subpoena request, and I will file with the Court. Analyze criminal history, and DMV records to determine the need for certified prior convictions, researches the location and availability of such records and submits formal requests to various courts when needed. Certify and file any Certificate of Analysis for cases, and determine if orders need to be filed with the cases to the Court, and the Defense Attorney.

Update computer logs. Maintains a variety of case files, filling and retrieving materials as requested or as otherwise necessary, and enters data into computer.

Answers phones, greets visitors, receive inquires from public and provides information or refers callers to appropriate personnel, records and relays messages, as appropriate.

Type material from typed or handwritten copy, which requires the ability to analyze legal documents. The materials must be accurate, check for spelling, punctuation, format, and grammar.

Deputy Supervisor Court Clerk

Responsible for the traffic and criminal division. I supervised up to 4 people. Responsible for training any new hires. Skilled technician entering in a high volume of traffic, and criminal cases with extreme attention to detail. Prepare the Courts dockets on a daily basis, maintain/update files during court, handling files to the Judge when called on. Coordinate dates with Defense Attorneys, and Officers.

Data entry of all manifest into the system, as too how much money was picked up by the guard, or dropped off at a location by one of our guards, how many times we went to that location. Needing to know if certain accounts were set up on a monthly billing, or if they were billed based upon how many times we picked up/drooped off for them.
