Responsible for all services, facilities, electro-mechanical, and ppe products for the region. This entails supporting thirteen (13) plants including Canada and Mexico. Primary responsibilities to identify and implement contracts for North America and bridge global contracts with my German counterparts

Tyco Electronics, Menlo Park, CA: 2004-2006, Sr. Procurement Specialist

Primary responsibility is to support the Supply Chain Organization, which entails working with the Tyco IPO (International Procurement Organization) to identify sources in low-cost countries (e.g., India, China, and Mexico), in addition to supporting three major plants: molded parts group, adapter group, and the tubing group. Negotiate long-term agreements using Ariba on-line sourcing/reverse auctions (scheduling agreements, consignment agreements, and annual blanket agreements), reduce supply base, and certify key suppliers. Identified major cost savings by altering the way material was being produced and stored. Chaired monthly SMT (Supplier Management Team), which resulted in significant improvement for on-time delivery and quality performance from our key suppliers. I also work closely with the Product Management and Pricing group to identify viable sources on proposed projects via RFIs/RFPs.

Responsibilities entailed procuring all capital equipment for the division (in excess of $20 million). Achieved documented cost savings/avoidance of $1 million. Prepared and implanted all software/hardware maintenance contracts. Managed the procurement of all test equipment and VAX`s (i.e., HP-DEC, IBM product line). Wrote contracts for consultants/professional services for business development, IR&D, and Bid/Proposal Departments.
