Have volunteered as a counsellor for a number of community agencies including the St. Vincent's
de Paul Society, the Men's Referral Service and Doncare (2010-2012)
o Involved with assessment, face-to-face and telephone counselling, case work, providing
appropriate referrals, participation in group and individual supervision and professional
development events
o Clients included those seeking general counselling services, including a wide range of
issues, including: clients recovering from AOD addiction, perpetrators and victims of
domestic violence and clients at risk
o Motivational interviewing, REBT, solution-focused counselling, humanistic counselling, ACT, and other
approaches were utilised within an eclectic clinical framework
