Education: B.S and M.S: 1978, Lorand Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary, Major in Physics and Astronomy, Minor in Mathematics; Ph.D. In Natural (Physical) Sciences, 1986, Lorand Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary.
Work Experience - Overview:
I have more than 25 years long experience in research in space physics and solar-terrestrial physics. I have been experienced in project management, from the planning, design, and execution of all aspects of a particular experiment from Phase A through Phase E. During these processes I have gained experience in project leadership, team building, financial and technical management, and overall project management including risk management. I was editor-in-chief of four books (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2 books, Cambridge University Press and the American Geophysical Union Monograph Series), which required to interface with the Publisher's editing, producing and marketing/sales departments, which included to fulfill certain legal and insurance procedures. All these efforts in most cases were challenging tasks and required creativity, flexibility, strategic thinking, team building and in many occasions conflict management skills and problem resolutions. In all cases I needed to market and sell these projects and products. I am well-experienced in developing and leading coordinated work, strategic thinking, flexibility, controlling fund distribution, and conflict resolution. I have the necessary skills to define and direct research and technology, selling and marketing activities, and their coordination. In 2012 I have established a small business, " J P Research and Technology Development, LLC", I have arranged and organized all necessary facilities to operate the business successfully. As a former government (NOAA and NASA) contractor, I am familiar with the US government financial and business requirements, projects, proposal writing and reviews and project/program plannings. I have strong negotiation and organization skills, and as leader of various national and international projects I am highly capable to conduct and supervise work independently but I am also a team player. I am also serving as an board member of HealthInformatic Technology, HRD.
I took a two days long health/accident/life insurance course with Enterprise in Towson and I passed the MD exam on October 15, 2012, which required adequate tax and contractual knowledge of law. I am fully licensed in selling health, accident and life insurance (MD license number: 2101498). I have extended potential client source through my membership with the National Association of Professional Women, this organization has 4,500 members in the Washington DC and Baltimore area.
