Managed Florida operations of West Virginia based heavy/highway earthmoving and paving company. Clients
included the Florida Department of Transportation, local government agencies, the Florida DEP-Bureau of Mine
Reclamation and the Central Florida Phosphate Industry. Duties included preparation and administration of
operating budgets, business development, estimating, general administration and financial reporting.
Sloan Construction Company (Subsidiary of Koppers Company) Orlando, Florida Vice President and
Florida Manager, 1984 to 1990.
Supervised Florida operations (four asphalt plants and one soil cement plant) of South Carolina based asphalt
contracting firm primarily performing highway construction projects for the Florida Department of Transportation,
and other County and Municipal agencies state-wide. Duties included direct supervision of field operations, plant
and equipment maintenance, safety, project planning and administration, budgeting, acquisitions and financial
reporting.
