Inspection/ Repair
The visual and physical inspection of many different tire types and sizes. After the defect discovery, the next step was to notify the supervisor of the coordinating defect. After a brief conference, the warehouse was contacted to insure no further defective tires have continued through the system. A report was then entered into the computer system and recommended corrective actions would be then suggested to insure the future quality of the product. After these steps were taken it was then determined if it was repairable or had to be scrapped. If the product was able to be repaired it would be properly brought up to DOT specifications and then reinspected for retail use but not Original Equipment on new cars.
