* Served on two naval destroyers through three extended deployments and four major shipyard periods to build and repair the firefighting, sewage, plumbing, fuel and oil systems.

* Adept at isolating malfunctions and troubleshooting installed firefighting systems and shipboard plumbing and sewage systems, components and systems utilizing test data and diagnostic equipment.

* Proficient at following maintenance repair procedures and adhering to strict quality assurance requirements associated in plant repair.

* Plan, supervise, and perform tasks necessary for fabrication, installation and repair of all types of shipboard structures, plumbing, and piping systems; organize, supervise and train personnel in maintenance and hull repair; supervise and perform tasks in procurement and issuance of supplies and repair parts; instruct personnel and enforce safety and security precautions; prepare records and reports; Bends metal piping and checks metal fit ups; cleans sewage pump, ventilation filters, welds and castings; clears clogged piping; disposes of hazardous material; identifies classes of piping visually, piping systems material, and fittings by markings; inspects brackets and piping for deterioration; installs and removes insulation and lagging materials, joiner doors, metal and non-metal sinks, shower stalls and fixtures; lubricates sewage pumps; maintains fluid strainers and hand tools; manufactures blank flanges, flex hoses, gauge lines; drilling tapping and threading; repairs deck drains and stanchions, piping assemblies, structural damage and system flushometers; replaces commodes, urinals, components of valves, deck drains, equipment flanges, faucet washers, low pressure steam traps, pipe fittings, sealing gaskets, and system valves, piping and zincs; takes clearance readings and precision measurements; targets system piping; and tests metal and non-metal sinks, repaired piping systems, and sewage pumps. Approves repair quality assurance forms; prepares and reviews repair quality assurance forms; updates calibration records and repair quality assurance forms; and verifies accuracy of ships drawings.
