Ada Elementary School, Ada, Ohio Winter Quarter 2009-2010 (10 Hours)
4th Grade Field experience included observing student psychological
behaviors in special and normal circumstances within a school day. I
assisted the cooperating teacher with grading papers, handing back
papers, walking students to and from their specials. I also worked with
students individually throughout the observation.
Troy Jr. High School, Troy, Ohio Spring Quarter 2010 & Fall
Quarter 2011 (70 Hours)
7th Grade Math and Science Field experience included observing the
cooperating teachers reaction and planning around racial, religious and
academic diversity. I assisted the cooperating teachers by grading
papers, recording grades, passing back papers, distributing supplies to
students and by teaching lessons.
Math Club Supervisor, Ada, Ohio Winter Semester 2009-10 - Spring
Semester 2011
Worked along with a cooperating teacher to help run an after school
math program for elementary students. I chose and oversaw educational
activities, tutored students in math and provided tutoring for state
testing.
Hardin Northern Family Math Night, Hardin, Ohio Fall Quarter 2010
Elementary Grades I planned and taught a math based game to students
and their families, who came to Hardin Northern’s Math Night.
Hardin Northern Tutoring, Hardin Ohio Winter Quarter 2010-11
I developed and facilitated math based activities, designed to enhance
the understanding of important mathematical concepts, to a small group
of students at an after school tutoring session. I also helped students
with homework and with understanding concepts that they were working on
in the classrooms.
Bath Local Schools Science Night, Lima, Ohio Winter Quarter 2010-11
Middle School Grades I planned and co-taught an interactive 15 minute
lesson on tornadoes to students at Bath Local Schools and their
families.

8th Grade American History Field experience was based around
understanding and assisting with the implementation of an effective
community-school relationship, as well as classroom management within a
middle school setting. I assisted with parent-teacher conferences,
preparing the school for state testing week, as well as assist the
cooperating teacher by grading papers, passing back papers, making
copies, laminating papers, grading tests, recording grades in an
electronic grade book, and by planning and teaching lessons.
Kenton Middle School, Kenton, Ohio Fall Semester 2011 (25 Hours)
6th Grade Math and Social Studies / 7th Grade Math Field experience
was based on the assessment practices implemented in middle school
classrooms within my concentrations and on the modern technology used
within schools. I planned and administered a performance assessment and
I planned and taught a webQuest lesson to 7th grade students.

6th Grade Language Arts Field experience was based on the different
strategies used to teach language arts lessons to middle school
students. I administered a qualitative spelling inventory and planned
and taught a series of five reciprocal teaching lessons to a small
group of students.
Hardin Central Elementary School, Kenton, Ohio Spring Semester 2012
(10 Hours)
4th Grade Language Arts Field experience was based on a case study
project working with an individual fourth grade student on reading and
writing. I planned a series of ten, forty minute, lessons that were
designed to increase the students reading fluency, comprehension and
writing. During the field experience, I administered qualitative
reading inventories, running records, qualitative spelling inventories,
attitude surveys and other assessments targeting the students
development in language arts.
Cory-Rawson Middle School, Rawson, Ohio Spring Semester 2012 (60Hours)
7th Grade Math and Social Studies Field experience was based on the
methods used in mathematics instruction and the reading strategies used
within content area classrooms. I planned and taught multiple lessons
in math and social studies, assisted the cooperating teacher in daily
classroom activities: grading papers, recording grades, making copies,
collecting and passing back papers.
